Artist Development

ARTIST and BAND DEVELOPMENT

Some artists have spent years on stage and have spent very little or no time in the studio. Then one day they jump into the studio, spend far too much money and do a project that, they’re not happy with, at the end of the day.

Others have spent more time in the studio and very little time on stage performing to a live audience. Consequently, they’ve never experienced a ‘Standing Ovation‘ and they seldom get return bookings. So it stands to reason that, ‘they‘ could probably use some serious Performance Coaching.

Very few artists have a lot of ‘music business’ experience, most writers think every song they write is a HIT and few ever think about ‘how’ they can improve their singing.

And … Some artists and bands have a large fan base and others don’t even have a website yet.

At a Leadership Music event in Nashville, Joe Galante, past- President of Sony Music said: “Artists today who wish to become part of the Major Label System must beREADY“.

There are 7 areas of consideration, when signing an artist: SONGS, VOICE, STUDIO PERFORMANCE, LIVE PERFORMANCE, MUSIC BUSINESS, IMAGE and SOCIAL MEDIA (Fan Base).

Randy Barr will evaluate, design, implement and manage the right Artist Development Program for you.

Lady Antebellum’s producer Victoria Shaw ‘tells it like it is’ on The Producer’s Chair talk show in Nashville,

The Producer’s Chair: What are the most important things that indie artists must do, to get your attention?

Shaw: I am 100% across the board not interested in working with an artist who is not social media savvy or at least understands the importance of it and just needs my help to steer the in the right direction. I am going to work my ass off on the music end and if they are not my partners and holding up their part of the partnership then why should I bust my gut? I should not have more twitter followers than my artists and if I do they better have a million youtube views like my artist Lacy Cavalier. If an artist doesn’t want to engage their fans why should I engage with them?

And Y’all wonder why you can’t seem to propel your careers to the next level … ‘DUH’
